Kokosing, Inc. seeks an onsite Project Engineer for Detroit-area industrial water/wastewater projects.

You will work with the project team to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage engineering activities to ensure timely, quality construction in alignment with contractual requirements. The role emphasizes strong communication, cross-functional leadership, and detailed documentation to support cost controls and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of similar construction engineering experience in heavy industrial projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for industrial projects (Water/Wastewater focus).
• Ensure engineering activities meet contract requirements and support project schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support in design interpretation, construction methods, and issue resolution.
• Develop and administer project engineering docs (submittals, RFIs, expediting, subcontractor invoices).
• Interface with A/E, client, and project management in meetings; coordinate on-site departments.
