Job summary

Consor in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Water & Wastewater Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, and utility projects for public-sector clients. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and advance infrastructure sustainability.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, 6–12 years of experience, and a Civil/Environmental/related engineering degree; familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6 to 12 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure design and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and public-sector agencies.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering plans, design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Apply applicable engineering standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure design quality, consistency, and technical integrity across project deliverables.
• Coordinate design efforts with internal teams, subconsultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Serve as a Task Lead or Assistant Project Manager on multidisciplinary project teams, with opportunities to manage projects and contracts valued at $500,000+.
• Support project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and implementation of quality control processes throughout project development.
• Assist with business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client engagement, and pursuit of new project opportunities.
• Contribute to securing and delivering approximately $100,000 to $500,000+ in new work annually.
