Job summary

Consor is seeking a Water & Wastewater Project Engineer in Boise, Idaho. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor staff to deliver municipal water and wastewater projects for public-sector clients.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license and a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical engineering degree, with 6–12 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. AutoCAD/Civil 3D familiarity is a plus. Hybrid work options may be available.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Active PE license.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or related engineering.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and public-sector agencies.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D familiarity preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering plans, design calculations, specifications and documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Apply engineering standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure quality and technical integrity.
• Coordinate design efforts with internal teams, subconsultants, clients, and regulators.
• Serve as a Task Lead or Assistant Project Manager on multidisciplinary teams for projects $500,000+.
• Support project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and quality control processes.
• Assist with business development, including proposals and client engagement.
• Contribute to securing and delivering $100,000–$500,000+ in new work annually.
