Job summary

Consor is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of critical water infrastructure across California. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver treatment facilities, pipelines, and storage systems while mentoring junior staff.

Located in California with a CA PE license, you’ll work in a hybrid/office setting and advance toward leadership roles in project management and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 4+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater projects including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and storage facilities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specs, and construction documents for municipal and private-sector clients.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions meeting objectives, schedules, and regs.
• Manage project tasks and deliverables to ensure quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
• Participate in client meetings and serve as daily contact, building strong client relationships.
• Conduct analyses, evaluate options, and provide recommendations for planning, design, and implementation.
• Review plans and documents to ensure compliance with codes and company QA procedures.
• Support construction-phase services: RFIs, shop drawings, site visits, field issue resolution.
• Collaborate with senior PMs and technical leaders to define scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs while expanding technical and PM responsibilities.
