Job summary

American States Utility Services, Inc. is hiring for a Water/Wastewater Construction Supervisor to oversee field crews on military installations. This role focuses on safety, quality, and efficient execution of trenching, pipe laying, and testing activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of water and wastewater construction experience preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience on construction projects preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Must pass Federal OSHA and/or State mandated safety training.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with GIS data collection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform all phases of water and wastewater system utility construction.
• Prepare work plans, schedule, direct and supervise crews and subcontractors for efficiency.
• Collect field data and maintain progress, inspection, and erosion control reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
• Oversee trenching, pipe laying, compaction, testing, and quality management.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings with crew.
• Load/unload materials per plans and direct equipment and operators.
• Inspect work to meet ASUS and installation standards and regulatory requirements.
