Job summary

American States Utility Services, Inc. is seeking skilled construction workers to support water and wastewater system projects on military installations across the United States. Under supervision, you will perform trenching, pipe laying, backfilling and site preparation.

The role requires safety compliance, OSHA training, a valid driver's license, US citizenship, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of prior water and wastewater system construction experience preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License issued by the state where employed.
• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools preferred.
• Must take and pass Federal OSHA and/or State Mandated Safety training with annual refresher courses as required by regulations; training provided by company.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, performs activities related to water and wastewater system utility construction.
• Observes and complies with all Federal, State and Company safety rules; reports unsafe conditions to a Supervisor/Manager.
• Performs physical construction including trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and testing.
• Ensures safe working conditions including trench safety and bracing; maintains erosion control devices.
