Job summary

American Water is seeking a Field Maintenance Technician in Woodridge, Illinois. The role involves performing J.U.L.I.E. locates, hydrant and valve inspections, meter reading, and customer service duties on a daily basis. Work hours are Monday through Friday with a daytime shift.

Qualifications

• Basic math calculations with accuracy.
• Ability to read, install and test water meters.
• Knowledge of sewer repair, rehab, replacement and maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform J.U.L.I.E. locates, and inspect/maintain b-boxes and valves.
• Operate heavy equipment and vehicles such as dump trucks and water pumps.
• Provide high level customer service while performing water and sewer utility repairs.
