Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to maintain water production and monitor quality for public consumption. The role involves operating treatment plants, wells, and SCADA systems, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and preferred experience in water production or treatment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Previous experience in water production and/or water treatment operation roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine water testing and record results.
• Monitor charts, gauges, and digital displays.
• Calibrate and adjust chemical feed rates per lab tests or supervisor instructions.
• Perform installation, maintenance and repairs of electrical, pumping, and other equipment.
• Analyze system parameters and determine when extra help is needed.
• Monitor chemical inventory levels.
• Operate water treatment plants and wells using SCADA interfaces.
• Take direction from water quality personnel for sampling and handling.
