Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Operations professional to monitor and operate plant equipment, perform lab tests, and supervise basic preventive maintenance. The role includes collecting samples, analyzing chemical and physical parameters, and calibrating instruments to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, at least five years in a similar environment, and the ability to read meters and interpret data.

Qualifications

• High school or GED; ability to read, write and comprehend English; follow instructions.
• Some vocational training with mechanical aptitude.
• At least five years of experience in a related position in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment and monitoring systems per procedures.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Collect water, groundwater, sludge, and residual samples and perform field tests.
• Perform lab tests and prepare reports per procedure; analyze pH, alkalinity and other parameters.
• Calibrate instruments and report issues; maintain equipment and calibration.
• Assist with facility maintenance and inventory; support other plant areas as needed.
