Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a non-supervisory Water Treatment Operator to monitor and operate a water treatment facility, ensuring purification processes meet permit and plant standards. The role emphasizes hands-on operation, data recording, and routine maintenance in a safety-conscious environment.

The operator will manage variables such as flow, pressure, and chemical dosing while following EPA and Florida state regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English; basic math skills.
• Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate pumps, engines, valves, mixers, conveyors and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating conditions and readings from meters, gauges, and control panels.
• Record data and maintain shift logs.
• Operate equipment to purify water or dispose of waste in compliance with permit and safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping in the plant.
• Respond to emergencies and work in on-call rotations as required.
