Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a water treatment operator to maintain and operate water treatment, processing, and testing equipment to meet permit and operational requirements.

The role involves monitoring conditions, recording data, and ensuring safety while following EPA and state guidelines. A Florida grade C license and a high school diploma are required, with eligibility for on-call shifts and field testing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Florida grade 'C' water plant operator license required, preference for Florida 'A' or 'B'.
• Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating conditions, meters and gauges.
• Record meter readings and data.
• Operate equipment to purify water or process waste.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tanks and work areas.
• Follow EPA and Florida regulations.
• Ensure safety standards are met.
• Assist in field tests and chemical dosages as needed.
• Work rotation for 24-hour on-call or emergencies.
