Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to maintain water production and quality for public use. The role involves monitoring system demand, operating and maintaining treatment plants, and working on a 24/7 schedule with potential shift rotations.

The position requires an Idaho Drinking Water Treatment license and a valid state driver’s license. Main duties include testing, monitoring SCADA systems, calibrating chemical feeds, and performing repairs as needed while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Previous experience in water production and/or water treatment operation roles preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a Idaho Drinking Water Treatment license.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Level II within one year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine water testing and record results.
• Monitor charts, gauges, digital screens, and other operating equipment.
• Calibrate chemical feed rate and adjust feed per tests or supervisor instructions.
• Perform routine installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, maintaining housekeeping.
• Analyze system parameters and determine when extra help is needed (e.g. main break).
• Operate water treatment plants, wells and related equipment using SCADA interfaces.
• Takes direction from water quality personnel regarding sampling and scheduling.
• Follow safety, health, environmental and security policies.
