Job summary

Town of Gilbert seeks an Instrumentation & Control Specialist to maintain electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA systems within the water treatment department. You will support safe and efficient operations, collaborating with engineering and electrical crews to troubleshoot, program, and optimize controls.

Applicants should have an associate degree or technical certificate, 4 years journeyman experience, and 2 years SCADA with radio telemetry.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in Electrical/Instrumentation and Control Systems.
• 4 years journeyman level experience in electrical/instrumentation and control systems.
• 2 years SCADA experience with radio telemetry and communications.
• 2 years water/wastewater systems and control loops.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, prioritize, and perform preventative maintenance of instrumentation and SCADA systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and calibrate equipment in water treatment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Modify and design controls for maximum efficiency with no process interruptions.
• Manage software licenses and updates for critical control systems.
