Job summary

City of Scottsdale seeks an Instrument & Controls Technician II to install, maintain and repair measuring and control devices in industrial and water/wastewater facilities. You will troubleshoot complex systems, optimize performance, and ensure accuracy of calibration records and regulatory documentation.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in electronics/electrical technology and at least four years of related experience; knowledge of safety practices and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics/electrical technology or related field from an accredited institution.
• Four years of experience installing, repairing and maintaining complex electrical equipment, including two years troubleshooting and staging instrumentation hardware, software and related equipment, and two years maintaining regulatory documentation.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that meets minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair measuring and control devices used in industrial, commercial processes and Water/Wastewater facilities.
• Troubleshoot and optimize instrumentation systems and controls to ensure process reliability.
• Maintain and document calibration records, permits, contracts, budgets and regulatory reports.
