Job summary

Town of Gilbert seeks an Instrumentation & Control Specialist to help keep Gilbert’s water treatment facilities operating safely and efficiently. You will maintain electrical and instrumentation systems, with a focus on SCADA and PLC-based control loops, while collaborating with engineers on new projects and rehabilitation efforts.

The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, programming, and optimization of control systems, ensuring reliable operation and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate in Electrical/Instrumentation and Control Systems.
• 4 years journeyman level experience in maintenance, design, and construction of electrical/instrumentation and control systems (PLC, VFD, RTU).
• 2 years SCADA experience with radio telemetry and communications.
• 2 years of experience with water/wastewater control loops and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation, controls, and SCADA systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, program, and calibrate equipment in water treatment.
• Collaborate with engineering on feedback for control systems for Town projects.
