Job summary

HDR is seeking a WBG Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice within the Water Business Group. You will align practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and advance standards, processes, and best practices that improve project performance and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in engineering and leadership roles.
• Experience leading professional services, program/project delivery.
• Active involvement in AEC industry associations.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to new technologies and digital delivery methods for the group.
• Evaluate and adopt professional services technologies and delivery tools.
• Coordinate staff training on policies, safety, risk, and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement through standards, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Support practice groups and initiatives related to productivity and service delivery.
• Partner with project delivery services and alternate/collaborative delivery programs.
• Develop technical and delivery approaches, risk management practices, and solutions for strategic initiatives.
• Lead QA/QC activities to ensure quality and delivery requirements.
• Monitor QC reviews and resolve project issues with experienced reviewers.
• Facilitate use of Professional Associates in delivery, mentoring, and technology adoption.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and development of key staff; engage with associations and communities.
