Job summary

HDR is looking for a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. You will align technical practice across the matrix organization and advance standards and delivery outcomes to support high-quality results.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with operations, market sector, and leaders to advance delivery

Qualifications

• Maintains a professional engineering registration with extensive related technical expertise.
• 15 years of experience in managing and developing technical teams and practices.
• Maintain AEC industry associations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to new technologies, digital delivery methods, and service areas for the group.
• Lead evaluation, implementation, and adoption of professional services technologies and digital tools to improve quality and delivery.
• Coordinate and monitor staff training in company policies, processes including technical, business, ethical, safety, HR, risk, technology, quality, and service delivery.
• Lead continuous improvement, including the development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices, lessons learned, and delivery processes.
• Support group activities related to productivity, policy alignment, technology integration, and service delivery growth.
• Partner with program delivery services including program management, project management, construction management, and owner’s advisor services.
• Lead development of technical and delivery approaches, risk management, and problem-solving for strategic initiatives and complex programs.
• Lead QA and QC program activities to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met.
• Facilitate effective use of Professional Associates in project delivery, mentoring, training, and technology adoption.
