Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Water Business Group leader to provide executive oversight of technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. The WBG Director aligns practice groups, strengthens delivery capabilities, and advances standards to support high-quality project outcomes across diverse geographic locations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in professional services, program management, and project delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership of diverse technical and service delivery teams.
• Experience coordinating with company leadership, operations, and marketing on delivery initiatives.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement in professional services.
• Executive presence with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to new technologies and digital delivery methods in support of initiatives.
• Evaluate and adopt professional services technologies and delivery tools to improve quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate staff training in policies, processes, and risk management.
• Lead continuous improvement, standardization, and lessons learned for delivery excellence.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and collaboration across groups to advance delivery strategies.
