Job summary

HDR is seeking a Director of Professional Services within the Water Business Group to provide executive leadership for technical quality, delivery excellence, and professional practice. You will align technical practice across the matrix, strengthen capabilities, and drive standards and continuous improvement to support high-quality project outcomes.

• 15+ years of experience in professional services leadership.
• Experience leading and developing technical teams and practices.
• Maintain AEC industry associations.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture and HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Develop approaches to new technologies, digital delivery methods, and service areas in support of business group initiatives.
• Lead evaluation, implementation, and adoption of professional services technologies to improve quality, efficiency, and risk management.
• Coordinate and monitor staff training in policies, processes including risk management, quality, and delivery program areas.
• Lead and monitor continuous improvement, including development of standards, best practices, and delivery-focused processes.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and collaboration across groups and regions to advance delivery strategies.
