Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College is establishing a pool for associate faculty assignments in California. Assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed.

The district emphasizes on-site work and does not offer remote-only assignments. Compensation is on a part-time, hourly basis, with initial steps based on existing salary schedules and experience, and benefits including medical insurance for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.
• Associate's degree and six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment.
• Equivalent qualifications or valid California Community College Instructor's Credential in an Industrial Trade (Wastewater).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, including evening, weekend, online or hybrid assignments.
• Provide academic assistance and related services to students during scheduled office hours.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.
