Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is inviting applications to create a pool for associate faculty assignments. These assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call, and could be immediate or as needed.

The district requires on-site work and offers benefits to eligible employees. Associate faculty responsibilities include delivering instruction, providing student support during office hours, and staying current in their field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND two years full-time (or part-time equivalent) of related experience; OR an Associate's degree and six years full-time (or part-time equivalent) of related experience; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructor's Credential in Hotel and Motel Services (Hospitality).
• Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds among students.
• Willingness to teach in multiple formats (in-person, online, hybrid).
• Ability to develop online courses and integrate technology into curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students across courses in the Business department.
• Offer academic support during scheduled office hours.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds in the classroom.
• Maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.
• May perform additional compensated services as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree and related experience requirements (faculty)

Alternative qualifications (Associate's degree plus experience)

Qualified California Community College Instructor's Credential in Hospitality
