Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience focused on water resource-related work. The role involves projects in fisheries, hydropower, dams, water conveyance, and other civil infrastructure.

The firm specializes in water resources with staff across the United States and Canada. Responsibilities include design documentation, feasibility studies, and construction support, with opportunities for growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure a plus.
• Experience with water resource infrastructure such as fishery projects, hydropower, dams, and pump stations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Design Documentation Reports and technical memorandums.
• Apply advanced structural design techniques and criteria.
• Perform structural computations and analysis using hand methods and software.
• Develop project details and drawings.
• Edit project specifications and assist with the Project Manual.
• Provide field support during construction and respond to RFIs.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients.
• Mentor junior staff.
