Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our Water Resources growth. You will manage large design/construction projects, provide technical leadership, and guide client relations across California.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, 14+ years of related experience, CA PE licensure, and strong communication and mentoring abilities within a collaborative, multi-office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering required.
• 14+ years of relevant experience in water resources projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 4+ years of project and staff management experience.
• Experience with CAD and GIS; CA PE licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a project manager on large design and construction projects.
• Provide technical leadership within the Water Resources sector.
• Perform complex engineering tasks: designs, reports, drawings, specs, calculations for water distribution, pump stations, tanks, and mains.
• Review designs for compliance with engineering principles and standards.
• Develop proposals and project budgets; meet with clients to define scope and staffing.
• Maintain client relationships and pursue business development.
• Mentor Senior Project Engineers, Engineering Managers, and PMs.
• Maintain three‑month workload projections for active projects.
