Job summary

BKF Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our Water Resources practice in California. The role emphasizes technical excellence in pump stations, tanks, and transmission mains, with strong client relations and business development responsibilities.

The position requires a CA PE license, 14+ years of relevant experience, and at least 4 years of project and staff leadership. This is a hybrid role offering growth across our multi-office network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering is required.
• 14+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• 4+ years of project and staff management experience.
• Experience with CAD and GIS.
• PE licensure in CA is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a project manager on larger design and construction projects.
• Provide technical leadership within the Water Resources sector.
• Oversee engineering designs, reports, construction drawings, specs, and calculations for water distribution systems focusing on pump stations, tanks, and transmission mains.
• Review designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and contracts.
• Develop proposals and budgets for large engineering efforts.
• Meet with clients to determine scope, staffing, and fees; maintain client relations around projects.
