Job summary

BKF Engineers is a multi-service infrastructure consulting firm seeking a Business Sector Lead of Water Resources in California. You will provide strategic leadership, drive growth, and align the Water Resources sector with BKF's goals, reporting to the EVP of Infrastructure Solutions.

You will oversee project delivery, client service, talent development, and financial performance across markets. The role requires 15+ years in Water Resources, at least 5 in senior leadership, strong P&L

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading complex Water Resources projects.
• 5+ years in senior leadership with P&L responsibility.
• Proven ability to drive growth, profitability, and backlog.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational leadership, and change management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to support regional offices and sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan for Water Resources.
• Identify growth opportunities, geographic expansion, and major pursuits.
• Oversee P&L and annual budgets, ensuring revenue and margins.
• Lead talent development, succession planning, and resource allocation.
• Strengthen client relationships and lead key pursuits.
• Ensure high-quality project delivery and regulatory compliance.
