Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Project Manager in Florida to lead diverse water resources projects from proposal to execution. You will manage hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, design drawings, and coordination with clients and agencies.

Ideal candidates have a civil/environmental engineering background, 5+ years in stormwater or groundwater projects, and strong communication and leadership skills. PE is preferred; driving record must be excellent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in stormwater and/or groundwater projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Experience with stormwater routing modeling, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D preferred.
• Familiarity with state/federal regulatory agencies (FDEP, SFWMD, USACE, FDOT) desired.
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Participate in water resources engineering projects at the proposal, planning and execution stages.
• Lead design drawings for water control structures, flood mitigation projects, and water quality improvement projects.
• Understand stormwater analysis and design, including stormwater management plans and modeling.
• Technical review and sealing of engineering design drawings where applicable.
• Hands-on experience with stormwater modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ICPR4).
• Oversee pre-construction, during-construction and post-construction implementation of projects.
• Provide peer review of reports and designs.
• Liaise with clients, agencies, and others to determine project requirements and approvals.
• Project management including scheduling and financial management.
• Supervise CAD designers and project coordination with other departments.
• Supervise permit technicians and assist in permit applications.
