Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Project Manager in Florida. You will lead water resources projects from proposal through execution, designing water control structures and flood mitigation plans, and applying stormwater modeling and regulatory permitting.

The role requires a civil/environmental engineering background, 5+ years in stormwater projects, and strong communication skills. PE license is preferred, with opportunities for growth and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in stormwater and/or groundwater projects.
• PE license preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with stormwater routing modeling, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Familiarity with state/federal regulatory agencies (FDEP, SFWMD, USACE, FDOT).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a variety of water resources engineering projects from proposal to execution.
• Lead conceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings for water control structures and flood mitigation.
• Understand and apply stormwater analysis and design, including modeling and regulatory permitting.
• Provide peer review of reports and designs.
• Oversee field coordination and project scheduling and budgets.
• Supervise CAD designers and coordinate with other departments.
