Apex Companies is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Project Manager in Florida to lead stormwater and groundwater projects across proposal, planning and execution stages. You will design water control structures and flood mitigation schemes, and coordinate with clients and agencies to secure approvals.

Requires 5+ years in related work, strong communication skills, and proficiency with stormwater modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in stormwater and/or groundwater projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong written and verbal skills required.
• Construction experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to present information to governmental boards, public groups and/or boards of directors.
• Experience with Stormwater routing modelling, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D is preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory agencies (FDEP, SFWMD, USACE, FDOT).
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage water resources projects from proposal through execution.
• Develop construction design drawings for water control structures and flood mitigation projects.
• Perform stormwater analyses including hydraulics and hydrology modeling.
• Review and seal engineering drawings where applicable.
• Oversee field coordination and project scheduling and finances.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies and other departments to obtain approvals.
