Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer/Manager to lead drainage design and hydrology/hydraulic analyses for transportation projects nationwide. You will contribute to the open/closed drainage systems, culvert sizing, and stormwater management with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has 12–16 years of transportation drainage experience, a BS in Civil Engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
  • 12–16 years of transportation drainage experience.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design standards.
  • Proficient with plan production software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads.
  • Strong communication and ability to work in a team.
  • Experience delivering DOT transportation drainage projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic and hydrology analyses and design for transportation projects.
  • Prepare drainage reports meeting client and industry standards.
  • Assist with plan production related to drainage design and stormwater management.
  • Contribute to project goals, monitor progress, and develop modeling studies.
  • Prepare reports, drawings, specs, and cost estimates for stormwater projects.
  • Ensure high-quality engineering documents and QC procedures.
  • Assist with project pursuits.
