Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Drainage Project Engineer for our Denver or Johnstown office. You will lead the design and analysis of stormwater drainage systems for transportation projects, including hydrology, hydraulics, culverts, and floodplain studies, with a collaborative team mindset and client-facing responsibilities.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of drainage experience, and a Colorado PE license (or within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• Colorado PE license required (or obtain within 6 months).
• 8+ years of transportation drainage experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic and hydrology analyses and design for transportation projects.
• Prepare drainage reports in conformance with client and industry standards.
• Assist with plan production for drainage design, stormwater management and detention facilities.
• Oversee design efforts and coordinate resources to meet milestones.
• Develop scopes, schedules and staff hours for drainage tasks and projects.
