Job summary

Benesch seeks a Drainage Project Engineer to deliver a broad range of stormwater projects for transportation initiatives in Colorado. The role involves design and hydraulic analysis for drainage systems, reports, plans, and cost estimates in a collaborative team setting.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering background, 8+ years in transportation drainage, a Colorado PE license or plan to obtain it, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of transportation drainage experience.
• Colorado PE License required (or obtain within 6 months).
• Proven project and team leadership in drainage design.
• Experience with CDOT design standards and drainage plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.
• Knowledge of FEMA CLOMR/LOMR and floodplain work.
• Mentoring and training others.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic and hydrology analyses and design for transportation projects.
• Prepare drainage reports per client and industry standards.
• Assist with plan production for drainage design and floodplain analysis.
• Contribute to project goals and monitor progress.
• Lead or advise on hydro/receiving modeling and cost estimates.
