Job summary

Benesch Alfred & Co seeks a Drainage Project Engineer in the Denver area to design and analyze open and closed storm drainage systems for transportation projects. You will contribute to hydrology and hydraulic analyses, prepare drainage reports, and support plan production and floodplain considerations.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and a Colorado PE license (or eligibility to obtain). A hybrid schedule in Denver or Johnstown is available and you’ll work with a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Colorado PE license required (or obtain within 6 months).
• Experience in transportation drainage design and hydrology/hydraulic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic and hydrology analyses for transportation projects.
• Prepare drainage reports per client/industry standards.
• Assist with plan production for drainage design and stormwater management.
• Lead or assist in modeling, reports, drawings, and cost estimates for drainage projects.
• Ensure quality control and project tracking.
• Develop relationships with Denver-area clients and contribute to marketing.
