Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks a Principal Water Resources Market Leader to guide the national Water Resources Practice. Based in Austin, TX or other US offices, develop and implement strategies to grow market share while leading complex projects and client relationships.

As a senior leader, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive business development, and ensure technical excellence in water supply, groundwater, and regulatory permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources, Hydrogeology, Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline (required).
• Professional registration (PE, CHG) (required).
• 10+ years of direct water resources/ hydrogeology/ engineering consulting experience (required).
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams and in sales/business development (required).

Responsibilities

• Strategic business planning to segment and target clients for water resources projects; focus on West Region market.
• Engage project/operations staff to align full service delivery with market demands.
• Act as Client Account Manager on key accounts critical to Water Resources market.
• Participate in professional societies and meetings to raise firm visibility and recruit.
• Lead project direction: manage budgets, quality, and follow-on work; oversee hydrogeologic analyses and permitting.
• Recruit, mentor and manage junior and mid-career staff.
• Review and lead major proposals; provide senior SME in client meetings.
• Deliver technical projects and manage scoping, execution and delivery.
• Prepare technical reports, letters, plans and proposals.
• Travel to client sites as needed; drive involvement across locations.
