Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks a Principal Water Resources Market Leader in Florida to drive strategy, client development, and project leadership across multiple offices in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Tallahassee, Gainesville and beyond.

You will lead complex water resources projects, mentor teams, manage client relationships, and help expand market share while coordinating with offices nationwide. Travel and leadership are key components of this role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in water resources, hydrogeology, or engineering consulting (15+ preferred).
• Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Proven success in project management, sales, and business development.
• Excellent leadership and detail orientation.
• Experience with field hydrogeology programs in various aquifers.
• Numerical modeling experience (preferred).
• Ability and willingness to travel and perform fieldwork.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Strategic business planning to target Florida and southeastern U.S. clients for water resources projects.
• Engagement with project and operations staff to align capabilities with market demands.
• Serve as Client Account Manager on critical accounts for Geosyntec's Water Resources market.
• Participate in professional societies, conferences, and meetings to raise firm visibility.
• Project directorship: manage budgets, quality objectives, and follow-on work.
• Lead hydrogeologic studies, regulatory permitting, modeling studies, and well testing.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead junior staff and mid-career engineers.
• Review and lead major proposals; provide senior technical leadership in client meetings.
• Deliver technical reports, plans, and proposals; manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Drive vehicles to client or project sites as needed.
