Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our North Central Community Development team in Minnesota. The role focuses on hydrologic and hydraulic design, stormwater management, and related analyses to support land development projects.

Your responsibilities include independent design work, cost estimation support, and field tasks as needed. A PE or intent to obtain within 6 months is required, with 5+ years of water resources experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies, including closed/open drainage systems, environmental site design, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, and E&S controls.
• Provide technical guidance to the Land Development teams in hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis.
• Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
• Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
• Participate in field work as needed.
