Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our North Central Community Development team in Milwaukee, WI. You will work on stormwater, hydrologic and hydraulic design, and contribute to resilient urban environments.

This role requires PE or eligibility within 6 months, 5+ years of water resources design experience, and proficiency with TR-55/HEC-RAS and AutoCAD Civil 3D, plus strong communication and client-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience with TR-55, TR-20, PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD or similar.
• Proficiency with CAD programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to client satisfaction and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with GIS software.

Responsibilities

• Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design.
• Provide technical guidance in hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design.
• Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
• Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
• Participate in field work as needed.
