Job summary

Stantec in Saint Cloud, MN is seeking a Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to support client and project management within our water resources group, with independent work on smaller projects or team involvement on larger ones.

The ideal candidate has consulting or water resource experience, is self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and eager to develop professionally; a Bachelor’s in environmental or civil engineering and PE eligibility within 6 months are required. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental or civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or able to obtain license within 6 months; MN/ND licensure expected.
• Minimum of six years of experience; consulting experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and internal staff.
• Lead design tasks including grading, drainage, hydrology, erosion control.
• Lead water resource planning studies for conveyance, flood analysis, water quality.
• Prepare technical reports, construction drawings, bidding documents, and permits.
