Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our North Central Community Development team in the Chicago/Minneapolis area. You will work on stormwater, drainage, and hydraulic design, providing technical guidance and independently completing design tasks.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources Eng and 5+ years of water resources experience, with PE or ability to obtain within 6 months. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, TR-55/HEC tools, and GIS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
• PE registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies.
• Provide technical guidance to Land Development teams in hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis.
• Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.
• Assist in plan development and cost estimation.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.
• Participate in field work as needed.
