Job summary

HDR is seeking a Professional Services Director for the Water Business Group to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice across the matrix organization.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will align practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and drive continuous improvement while fostering collaboration across disciplines and regions to deliver high-quality outcomes for communities and clients.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in managing technical teams and practices.
• Proven ability to lead professional services, program/project delivery teams.
• Maintain involvement with AEC industry associations.
• Commitment to employee-owned culture and HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of business group staff.
• Advance technologies, digital delivery, and new service areas.
• Evaluate and adopt professional services tech and delivery tools.
• Coordinate staff training on policies and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement via QA/QC and standards.
• Support recruitment and staffing for key projects.
• Foster cross-group collaboration and delivery strategies.
