Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice across the matrix organization.

Reporting directly to the WBG President, the role aligns technical practice groups, strengthens delivery capabilities, and advances standards, processes, and best practices that enhance client outcomes while supporting HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in leading and developing technical teams and practices.
• Strong leadership and management of professional services, program management, and project delivery.
• Maintaining professional engineering registration and active participation in industry associations.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture and HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and training of staff in technical, professional, business and service delivery competencies.
• Coordinate adoption of new technologies and digital delivery methods.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of professional services technologies and enabling systems.
• Coordinate staff training on company policies, processes and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement through QA/QC programs, standards, and lessons learned.
• Support recruiting, staffing levels, and cross-group collaboration.
