Job summary

Jacobs, a leader in engineering, is offering an Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Intern position in the Water division. The role provides hands-on experience with municipal and industrial water treatment facilities and related infrastructure.

You will learn instrumentation, controls, and automation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates are enrolled in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering programs, returning to school after the internship, with strong

Qualifications

Pursuing a relevant engineering degree and returning to school after internship.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist with development and modification of P&IDs.
Support specification and selection of process instrumentation and field devices.
Gain exposure to PLC- and SCADA-based control systems.
Assist with control system architecture and industrial communication networks.
Prepare engineering calculations, reports and design documentation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in design reviews and field investigations.
Assist with construction support, commissioning and startup activities.
