Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineering Intern to contribute to municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects in the United States. You will learn to design instrumentation, controls, and automation systems while working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable facilities.

You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to P&IDs, instrumentation selection, and PLC/SCADA systems, with opportunities for growth and potential EIT

Formación

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program and returning to school following the internship.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the development and modification of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Support the specification and selection of process instrumentation, analyzers, control valves, and field devices.
• Gain exposure to PLC- and SCADA-based control systems used in water and wastewater facilities.
• Assist with control system architecture and industrial communication network designs.
• Support the preparation of engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and field investigations.
• Assist with construction support, commissioning, and startup activities as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
