Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Intern to contribute to municipal and industrial water projects. You will assist with P&ID development, instrument selection and control system designs while learning from experienced engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems and automation in water treatment facilities, collaborating across process, mechanical, electrical, and civil teams in a hybrid workplace.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited program and returning post-internship.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and modification of P&IDs.
• Support instrumentation, analyzers, valves, and field devices selection.
• Glean exposure to PLC/SCADA based control systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design reviews and investigations.
