Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director who will lead technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. Reporting to the WBG President, you will align practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and advance standards that improve project outcomes.

You will partner with operations, sector leaders, and technical teams to foster collaboration, develop future leaders, and position HDR as a leader in the global architecture marketplace.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in professional services or delivery leadership.
• Experience managingtechnical teams and delivery practices on large programs.
• Active participation in AEC industry associations and HDR employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor staff development in technical and service delivery competencies.
• Align technical practices across the matrix organization for consistent standards.
• Drive delivery quality, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to advance delivery strategies.
