Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, delivery excellence, and professional practice. The role aligns technical groups, strengthens delivery capabilities, and promotes standards that enhance project outcomes.

The position reports to the WBG President and partners with operations, market sectors, and leadership to drive continuous improvement and successful client outcomes across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in managing technical teams and practices.
• Experience leading professional services and delivery on complex programs.
• Maintain active participation in AEC industry associations.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate delivery across the Water Business Group.
• Drive QA and QC program activities and continuous improvement.
• Oversee risk management, technical standards, and delivery methodologies.
• Coordinate staff training, policy alignment, and process improvement.
• Partner with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to advance delivery strategies.
• Support recruiting, staffing, and development of key personnel.
