Job summary

HDR is seeking a highly experienced leader for the Water Business Group to serve as the WBG Professional Services Director. You will unite technical practice across the matrix, drive delivery excellence, and elevate quality standards for complex water infrastructure programs.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will influence policy, partner with operations and marketing, and mentor future leaders while advancing HDR’s employee-owned culture and global client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in related fields.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing technical teams and practices.
• Maintain AEC industry associations.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the development and training of staff in technical, professional, business, and service delivery competencies.
• Lead and coordinate development of technical and delivery approaches, risk management practices, and problem-solving for strategic initiatives.
• Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA and QC programs and ensure delivery requirements are met.
• Monitor delivery QC activities and resolve project issues with experienced reviewers.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and development of key staff within the group.
