Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice. The role aligns technical groups, strengthens delivery capabilities, and advances standards to improve client outcomes.

Responsibilities include guiding staff development, implementing new technologies, and partnering with leadership to position HDR as a leader in the global architecture marketplace.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in managing technical teams and professional services.
• Leadership of complex programs and large-scale projects across delivery disciplines.
• Active participation in engineering associations and HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and align technical practice groups across the matrix organization.
• Drive delivery quality, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee QA/QC, staff development, and adoption of delivery technologies.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to advance strategies.
• Support staffing, recruiting, and professional development within the group.
• Coordinate with program delivery services and owner’s advisor concepts.
• Promote standards, processes, and best practices to improve client outcomes.
