Job summary

HDR's Water Business Group seeks a Director of Professional Services to lead technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practice across the matrix organization. You will align practice groups, strengthen delivery capabilities, and promote standards that enhance project performance and client outcomes.

Reporting to the WBG President, you will partner with operations and leaders to drive continuous improvement, mentor future leaders, and position HDR as a leader in global

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in managing and developing technical teams and practices.
• Demonstrated experience in leading professional services, program management, and project delivery on large-scale programs.
• Maintain active involvement with AEC industry associations and HDR employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the development and training of staff in technical and service delivery competencies.
• Guide QA/QC programs, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Coordinate with operations, marketing, and technology leadership to advance delivery strategies.
• Advance technical excellence across the Water Business Group and related disciplines.
• Support recruitment, staffing, and development of key staff within the group.
• Foster collaboration across business groups to improve project outcomes and client satisfaction.
