Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a wastewater facility operator to join their team. You will perform day-to-day O&M tasks, collect samples, and monitor laboratory results to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, data interpretation, and teamwork in a safety-conscious environment. Responsibilities include routine preventative maintenance, equipment operation, and incident response on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of experience in the water or wastewater industry.
• Experience in a laboratory or utility-related field preferred.
• Must follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical O&M activities related to the wastewater facility, including related infrastructure and equipment.
• Performs routine PM activities on infrastructure, equipment and systems.
• Conducts wastewater sampling and laboratory monitoring per project and regulatory requirements.
• Assists in maintaining equipment and processes in good working order.
• Responds to emergencies and works on-call as needed.
• Maintains proper operational and maintenance documents and records.
• Operates project vehicles and heavy equipment as required.
• Carries out housekeeping and site cleanup across facilities.
