Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Operator to maintain wastewater treatment processes and the collection system at a Massachusetts facility. You will perform rounds, run tests, collect samples, and ensure process integrity while supporting safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves on-call rotations, working outside in variable weather, and driving a company vehicle as needed. Prior experience and relevant licenses are advantageous for success in this environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with effective written and oral communication.
• Associates or Bachelors in science/technical area preferred.
• 1–5 years in a related wastewater treatment role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment processes and equipment via rounds and remote checks.
• Collect and analyze wastewater samples for permit compliance.
• Record data in logs and digital systems.
• Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on plant and collection systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours coverage.
• Support subcontractors and engineers on upgrades and repairs.
